We appreciate that every cat owner needs to be confident that their pets will be well cared for in their absence, so we fully encourage prospective clients to visit out premises before making a booking. This provides an opportunity for the client to inspect the accommodation and familiarise themselves with our terms and conditions. The following terms and conditions will form the contractual basis of any guest staying. If you are unhappy with any of the terms and conditions, please speak directly to Cat Cabin Cattery. If you fail to raise any issues with the following terms and conditions you will, by booking a stay at Cat Cabin Cattery, be deemed to have accepted the terms and conditions in full without amendment.
Please ensure upon arrival that your cat is transported in a secure and suitable pet carrier.
Tariff from 1st August 2022
- 1 cat – £13.50
- 2 cats – £19.00 (sharing)
- 3 cats – £22.50 (sharing)
- 4 cats – £26.00 (sharing)
Charges are calculated daily, starting with the day of arrival, and including the day of departure. No deduction will made due to time of drop off and/or collection. Fees include food from our stock menu (non-prescription diet), heating, public and veterinary insurance if found to be fault of Cat Cabin Cattery.
Cat Cabin Cattery reserves the right to vary the above referred rates at any point prior to accepting a booking for a period of stay.
Only guest from the same household may share a suite. Guest behaviour will be monitored for the duration of the stay and should there be any signs of aggression or promiscuity in multiple occupation suites, Cat Cabin Cattery reserves the right to separate the guests into separate suites. Should this become necessary, the guest’s owner agrees to be responsible for the full cost of the additional suite.
Minimum Stay Periods
The minimum stay period will be 3 days. Shorter stays will be permitted however this will be subject to a full 3 day charge. All Christmas bookings will have a minimum stay period of 4 days and bookings must cover 24th/25th/26th/27th of December.
Payment Methods
Full payment is required on either day of arrival or day of departure. Deposits are NOT required unless booking covers 24th/25th/26th/27th of December then 50% non refundable deposit of full balance is required at time of booking.

Cancellation Policy
Cancellations made on or within 14 days prior to arrival will be charged 50% of the total amount.
Cancellations made on or within 7 days prior to arrival will be charged 100% of the total amount.
Should the duration of stay be changed on or within 14 days prior to arrival, Cat Cabin Cattery reserves the right to charge for the full amount of the original period of stay booked.
Should a guest be collected earlier than originally anticipated at the time of booking, the full charge for the originally booked period of stay will be levied.

Please note that on the following public holidays we are closed for the receiving and uplifting of pets:

Cat Cabin Cattery will be closed for a short period of time during the month of November and another period during the month of February.
Arrival and Departure
Mon – Sat 09:00 – 18:00, Sunday and Bank Holidays 09:00 – 12:00
At time of booking, we will request that you provide us with arrival and departure times. We would appreciate if you could inform us in advance if these arrangements need to be changed.
These times are part of planning permission with South Derbyshire District Council so please DO NOT ask for Cat Cabin Cattery to deviate from these times.
Collection/Delivery Service
Delivering and collecting your cat may be a problem for you. We can collect and deliver your cat within the opening hours of Cat Cabin Cattery. If required, please contact Cat Cabin Cattery to arrange as soon as possible.
Within 0-5 miles (each way) – £5.00
Within 5.1-10 (each way) – £10.00
Further then 10 miles is £10.00 + £1.00 per mile on top of the 10 miles.
Visitors
We respectfully request that all visitors refrain from stroking or petting any of the resident animals. This is in place to protect our residents from potential external infection and to protect our visitors from injury.
Vaccination requirements
All cats accepted at Cat Cabin Cattery must show valid up to date vaccination certificate against Feline Influenza and Feline Enteritis at each visit. We also recommend that cats are vaccinated against Feline Leukaemia virus. Vaccinations must be administered at least 2 weeks before first day of boarding.
There will be no exceptions to this rule. Vaccination cards will be retained upon arrival and returned on collection. The guest’s owner expressly consents to Cat Cabin Cattery retaining a electronic or paper copy of the vaccination card indefinitely.
Please note that only vaccinated kittens can be accepted.
Fleas and Worms
Date of last worming and flea treatment are required for every booking and will be retained indefinitely. Flea and worm treatments must be carried out at least 5 day prior to arrival date unless within a monthly repeat cycle. The management reserves the right to apply flea treatment to any resident cat found to have flea infestation on arrival or during stay. The cost of treatment will be charged to the owner (£10 per dose).
Male cats
Any male cat over the age of 6 months will only be accepted for boarding if neutered.
Medical/Vets
Disclosure of a guest’s full medical history is required at the time of arrival and will be retained indefinitely. Should the guest owner fail to do so Cat Cabin Cattery accepts no liability for any ramifications following from such failure. Each guest’s owner expressly agrees that should the guest require veterinary attention (such a requirement being entirely at the discretion of Cat Cabin Cattery), the owner of the guest will be responsible for all veterinary fee incurred and the cost of transportation to the veterinary surgeon at £1.00 per mile each way. Should a guest be insured for veterinary and other fees, full details of the policy should be provided to Cat Cabin Cattery upon arrival. Should a guest owner fail to do so, Cat Cabin Cattery accepts no responsibility for an inability of the guest owner to recover any charges levied from the insurance company.
Every effort will be made to take the guest to the vet at which they are registered. However, if this is not possible, they will be taken to Cat Cabin Cattery registered vet – Hartshorne Veterinary Surgery. If out of hours, guests will be taken to the out of hours veterinary practice – Pride Veterinary Centre. Every effort will be made to contact the owner or the emergency contact before treatment is carried out, time allowing.
Cat Cabin Cattery reserves the right to refuse accommodation to any guest showing signs of impending illness (Such a discretion being entirely at the discretion of Cat Cabin Cattery).
Cat Cabin Cattery will administer any medication recommended by any veterinary surgeon upon guest becoming unwell and it is expressly agreed that the owner of the guest consents to such medication being administered.
Medication
We are happy to administer any medication which has been prescribed by a vet, provided full and clear instructions are left by the owner.
Limit of Liability
Whilst every care and precaution is taken to safeguard the health and wellbeing of all cats, they are boarded entirely at the owner of the guest’s own risk. And Cat Cabin Cattery cannot be held responsible for any illness, disease or death that may occur during boarding. If any animal is not collected within 14 days of stated departure date and no communication is received either from the owner or their agent, Cat Cabin Cattery reserves the right to re-home or dispose of the guest.
Guest possessions
Whilst every care will be taken by Cat Cabin Cattery to prevent loss or damage of any possessions of the guest/owner of the guest left at the time of arrival. Cat Cabin Cattery accepts no liability for any loss or damage to any such items and the same are left entirely at the owner’s risk. Any items left unclaimed by owners after two weeks following boarding may be disposed of without notice and entirely at cat Cabin Cattery’s discretion.
Social Media
Cats staying with Cat Cabin Cattery will have their photos taken and will appear on Instagram, Facebook, Cat Cabin Cattery Website, WhatsApp (in the form of private message to the owner). Only the cats first name will be included. Any form of tagging will not identify the owner’s identity. The use of hashtags will also be used on occasion. Please inform us if you do not wish your cat to appear on social media.
Photos will also be attached to the online profile of the owner/cat indefinitely for owners viewing and record keeping.
